Professional Bio

Andy Dorman joined the company in April 2004 as Senior Director.  A 20-year commercial real estate professional, Mr. Dorman has sold and leased hundreds of commercial properties including office, industrial, retail, and multi-family.   He has successfully concluded $275 million+ in commercial real estate transactions over the past 15+ years.  With an exceptional record of success developing marketing/sales plans, Mr. Dorman is particularly skilled at understanding customer needs.  He considers his problem-solving skills a valuable asset in today’s economy, and has helped many companies downsize to more practical space.  “I’m a highly collaborative type with deep appreciation for customer service. I have a good record of cultivating and building productive relationships both with tenants and landlords.”

He is a corporate real estate specialist concentrating on the office and industrial market segment.  “My primary purpose is to help businesses solve their real estate requirements.”   Andy has already achieved Coldwell Banker Commercial's Circle of Distinction Gold Level, an honor bestowed upon the top 1 percent of the more than 3,000 Coldwell Banker Commercial® sales associates.  He is an active participant in the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society.

Andy relocated to Long Island from Washington, D.C., where he was an Associate Vice President with Charles E. Smith Commercial Realty, a division of Vornado Realty Trust. Smith Commercial is one of the largest regional commercial real estate firms in the Washington, D.C.-Northern Virginia market. It is also the government's largest landlord. The company designated Mr. Dorman as Commercial Broker of the Year in 2002. His sale of an obsolete indoor mall to Target for conversion to a single retail entity placed as a finalist in the Washington Business Journal's annual Deal of the Year Awards.

Andy earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Stony Brook University in 2008.  He graduated with honors after establishing a link between the Graduate School of Business and major Long Island firms including Nikon, KPMG, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Southwest Airlines, and Bank of America, among others.
